The first session of Convergences and ReImaginings: Situating the Black Lives Matter Movement, which took place Friday, October 2, from 10 am- noon.
The theme was Transnational Histories. Our speakers are Malcolm Momodou Jallow, MP and Founder and Chair of the Pan African Movement for Justice & General Rapporteur on Combating Racism and Intolerance for the Council of Europe; and Anders Bo Rasmussen, Associate Professor in American Studies and Civil War Expert, from Syddansk Universitet, Denmark.
Our speakers took the first hour to talk about their work, and the second hour was dedicated to Q&A with session participants.
