In this seminar, Nicholas B. Torretta explores emancipatory directions for design for sustainabilities. He will introduce an educational project that explored decolonial design and use its outcomes to reflect on directions to move design for sustainabilities towards being anti-oppressive and decolonial by changing how we in design relate to people, place and time.
This is the third of several seminars on the theme "Co-becoming in the Pluriverse", jointly hosted by the research platform Collaborative Future-Making and the Social Innovation Research Lab.
Presenter: Nicholas Torretta, PhD student at Umeå University and guest PhD student at Malmö University.
